  1. I was a huge fan of yours during your Reviews on the Run days and I had no idea what had happened … I just happened across your Tedx Vancouver talk and was blown away when I learned of your medical crisis. I am so happy you are doing well and I am glad to have rediscovered you and your art again…. Love, Love, LOVE…. your new podcast, Heavily Pixelated. I’ve cried during every single one of them, and I’m waiting for the next one to make it 5 for 5. You have a big heart and your passion for both people and gaming is so evident. I wish you huge success with this new venture… the world needs more people like you… courageous enough to do something different… to share stories that aren’t always told… to share the human/personal side of gaming…. and to encourage listeners to open their hearts and minds. All the best! 🙂

  2. I had to go back to the PC Museum website to remember when Ben and I went to visit Syd – our photos are still in the archive with all the photos from all the years. It feels like it wasn’t that long ago, but it was. I always thought that there would be time enough to stop by some time again. I remember the pride he had in his massive collection, the pride he had in his city, and I have this image in my mind of him holding his cute little dog as he excitedly went over his upcoming Dragon’s Lair book.
We didn’t know him well, but we knew of him very well. He was a sweet man who opened his home to so many people – and he created a wonderful hub for so many in his community.
I had no idea that he had passed away – Ben and I put the podcast on tonight and were shocked and saddened by the news. Thanks for putting this together Scott – I’m sure he would have really loved the tribute.
